  • A Beachy, Romantic Wedding in La Jolla, CA

Megan and Daniel said their “I do’s” while overlooking the ocean, off a cliff in La Jolla, California. Their perfect-weather September wedding allowed their guests to embrace laid-back beachy vibes with touches of romance. The bridesmaids wore a variation of blush and lavender floral gowns to match the whimsical setting.

What dresses and colors did your bridesmaids wear? What helped you come to a decision on your choice of dresses?

Four of the bridesmaids wore variations of blush dresses (the Elissa, Amelia, and Madeline) and two wore floral lavender gowns (the Nyla). I was obsessed with the Jenny Yoo floral gown and built my vision around that dress. I thought the floral mixed really well with the solid prints and really stood out. It is such a
    romantic dress!

Tell us a little about your day (including the most memorable moment)!

Our most memorable moment was our grand entrance into the wedding reception. We could strongly feel all of the love and support in the room from our friends and family who travelled far to celebrate with us. It was a really special moment we won’t forget!

What advice would you give to other brides and bridesmaids?

My advice would be to try your best to be present and take in every moment. This is probably the only time you will have all of your favorite people in the same room, so enjoy it!

How would you describe your experience using Vow To Be Chic?

I was surprised by how seamless the process was using Vow To Be Chic. I was worried the dresses would not come in time or would not fit. I was shocked that we only had to order a follow-up size for just one of my bridesmaids. Vow To Be Chic overnighted that dress and it
fit! All of my bridesmaids really appreciated renting their dresses because they saved a ton of money and still got to wear beautiful dresses!

Congratulations Megan and Daniel! We were honored you chose us to be a part of your wedding!

  • A Stylish Modern Update to the Classic Wedding

Soon and Nick’s vision was a romantic late autumn wedding with a marsala color palette, complete with fairy lights, elements of wood, and candlelight. The stunning couple wanted the wedding to be a fun celebration true to the two of them. The reception had a bright and warm atmosphere, with bridesmaids glowing in rose gold and guests dancing the night away.

Rocking Gemma and Kaylee by Theia in rose gold, Soon’s bridesmaids were stunning.

What dresses and colors did your bridesmaids wear? What helped you come to a decision on your choice of dresses?

I had seen several brides who had the gold sequin Theia gowns in their bridal party and I thought it was stunning. One of the first decisions I made regarding the wedding was the bridesmaid gowns. At the last minute, I decided to change the color from gold to rose gold because I thought it would better suit the burgundy in the color palette, and I’m so glad I did!

Tell us a little about your day (including the most memorable moment)!

My day started at 6:30 am. Got up, showered, and immediately headed to the venue to begin getting ready. Once Chick-fil-A breakfast arrived (because lets face it, that’s really the most important part) all the girls began curling their hair and one of my maids of honor and I did all maids hairstyles ourselves. The makeup artists arrived around 10 am and began doing makeup on each maid. I began doing my own makeup at that time because I really felt that no one could do my makeup as well as I can do my own. My photographers arrived at 2 pm and it was time to do our first look. I was SO nervous.

Our first look was set to the backdrop of a vined wall outside and afterwards, we completed photos of just the two of us. Once the family began to arrive, we went ahead and knocked out family photos, then the bridal party was tucked away to begin the ceremony.

The ceremony was full of laughs and tears. After they pronounced us husband and wife, we kissed and “DMX – party up” immediately began playing as we danced down the aisle. Guests were immediately ushered outside and we did our sparkler exit immediately after the ceremony. This was to ensure that there would be a lot of people in our sparkler pic AND that no one could drunkenly have any sparkler accidents.

The cocktail hour began with all of our guests already outside. We had two fire dancers perform during the duration of our cocktail hour, along with a cigar bar and open bar to entertain.

After intro of the wedding party, Nick and I were introduced and immediately went into our choreographed Viennese waltz first dance to “Lenny Williams – Cause I Love You”, complete with a lift and dip at the end. I changed back into my custom wedding gown and we proceeded to cut the cake to the song “Cut it – OT Genesis.” From that point on, the rest of the night transformed to a huge celebration. The photo booth (@snapsocialphotobooth) was the most popular attraction of the night. With everyone dancing, chatting, or eating, there was never a dull moment and you could tell the entire room was filled with love.

What advice would you give to other brides and bridesmaids?

My advice would be to trust your vision. While it’s important to have a planner or coordinator assisting you, it’s important to make sure that the vibe that you and your husband both dreamed of comes to fruition. My husband and I had a majority of the creative decision making power and had an amazing planner (@amandareedweddings) there every step of the way to give her input, but she ultimately left it up to us and executed the evening perfectly.

How would you describe your experience using Vow To Be Chic?

My experience with Vow To Be Chic was seamless and I wish I could reuse them a thousand times over! They kept me posted on when there were sizing issues and also were the ones who originally told me when the rose gold Theia gowns became available. The gowns arrived in mint condition and the process to ship them back couldn’t have been any easier. I think my bridesmaids will keep Vow To Be Chic in mind when it comes time for their weddings too. No one wants to spend a fortune and have to hang on to a dress they don’t love. This was the perfect way to get the look I wanted without breaking anyone’s bank.

Congratulations Soon and Nick! What a beautiful and fun wedding!

  • Elegant, “Old California” Wedding

Paige and Storm envisioned a bright, old California wedding. After touring the Rancho Bernardo Inn, the two were drawn in by its olive trees, gorgeous rose gardens, and hanging lanterns that gave off a beautiful glow at night. The couple wanted to stay true to the spirit of the Inn, and incorporate understated elegance and timeless décor.

“Our ceremony was on their North Lawn which is surrounded by beautiful white rose bushes that were in full bloom.”

What dresses and colors did your bridesmaids wear? What helped you come to a decision on your choice of dresses?

“My bridesmaids wore the JY Jenny Yoo Sophia bridesmaid dress in blush [and the Jenny Yoo Aidan in Petal Pink]. My bridesmaids each had beautiful but completely different figures so I wanted to find a dress that would both flatter every woman but also make them feel beautiful and comfortable. I knew that our wedding would have a great dance floor so I wanted a dress that would be flowy and allow them to bust a move! The undertones to this dress were beautiful with each of my bridesmaid’s skin tones. I ultimately came to my decision looking at the dress styles on vowtobechic.com, but I also mailed each girl a test dress to ensure that they liked the style and felt comfortable. Every single girl raved about the quality of the dresses and how flattering they were.”

Tell us a little about your day (including the most memorable moment)!

“It was so important to us that we enjoyed every moment of our wedding day and didn’t let small details or expectations get in the way. Storm and I carved out intentional time to sneak away just the two of us and really enjoy the moment and enjoy the significance of our wedding day. Rather than get concerned about everything going according to plan, we really focused on the celebration aspect of the day.”

“Our first look was something out of a fairy tale. We met in the secluded rose garden at the back of the property. The roses were in full bloom, there was a warm breeze, and just the two of us. I wish I could stay in that moment longer!”

What advice would you give to other brides and bridesmaids?

“Once you get to the wedding day, let it go, breathe, and soak it all in! You are in charge of your own joy so have FUN! You have planned and worked so hard leading up to this point, let it go and celebrate. You only get married once in your life so don’t worry about what other people will think. Enjoy.”

How would you describe your experience using Vow To Be Chic?

It was really seamless! Everyone received their dresses on time two weeks before the wedding. Other brides would benefit from knowing how far ahead of time you need to order your dresses. (Pro tip: order 6 months in advance for the largest selection of available dresses).

Congratulations Paige and Storm! We absolutely loved being a part of your big day!

  • Kelsea Ballerini & Morgan Evans’ Oceanfront Wedding in Mexico

Earlier this month, Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans tied the knot on a beautiful beach in Mexico. We feel so honored to have dressed Kelsea’s #girlsquad including her mother, whom Kelsea had by her side instead of a traditional maid of honor. Each bridesmaid looked gorg in a different Vow To Be Chic gown by Monique Lhuillier Bridemaids.

Kelsea wanted her friends’ personalities to shine through by letting them choose the style and color of their dresses. With an array of colors within a pastel palette, and the cohesiveness of the Monique Lhuillier designs, the #girlsquad was on point.

Kelsea Ballerini and her mother Carla in Monique Lhuillier.

Congrats to Kelsea and Morgan! We were honored to be a part of this special day.

“The ‘Kelsea‘ dress is just perfect – it’s playful and unexpected without losing that romantic feel. I love the full skirt and the flirty slit in the front. It makes me think of a ballerina’s gown – with a twist. I love fashion so it was exciting to have a Monique Lhuillier dress named after me! One of my best friends wore it to my wedding, and now I can share my wedding style with all of my fans thanks to Vow To Be Chic. So rad!”

We absolutely loved working with Kelsea and dressing her bridal party. Expressing her love for these chic gowns and Vow, Kelsea said,

    We love you too, Kelsea!
